War in Georgia, Apkhazeti region, 1990. Georgian government forces fight against Abkhaz separatists, the Russian army, and North Caucasian militants. An Estonian man Ivo, living in Abkhazia, has stayed behind to harvest his crops of tangerines. In a bloody conflict at his door, a wounded Georgian and Chechen men are left behind, and Ivo decides to take them in. This decision brings both death and new, changed life.
